Graham first decided that he wanted to play drums after going through his 'Gary Glitter' phase when he use to mime to his records using a hairbrush for a microphone. Gary was his idol until his brother Stephen introduced him to Queen. Graham immediately wanted to become Roger Taylor and started miming the drums with a broken snooker cue and a strategically bent coat hanger.

Queen became a bigger and bigger part of Graham's life as he got older, and eventually he got his first drum kit at 18 years old. He played with no less than ten different bands before he formed GAGA with the ex bass player Dave Harding. Originally the band was called 'Wanted' until it was decided to concentrate entirely on Queen songs and then the name was changed to GAGA in 1992.

At the end of year 2000 a band called 'Eat The Beaver' that Tony was in came to an end and thought no more about starting again. However a complete fluke brought him together with John and Graham.
